  • Replace monitor with working one

    • If working, check dip-switches on original monitor otherwise, warranty (Dip Switches on pg. 4 – MT Manual)
    • If not working, perform local test with fresh wire (18awg/2-conductor, stranded, unshielded) connecting Door Station, Separator, Distributor and PSU

      • If good, check wiring distances or possible short in the wire-run. (Wiring Distances on pg. 3 – MT Manual)
      • If not, bypass 2-4, connect monitor directly to “monitor bus” at the MT-202
        • If good, warranty the 2-4
        • If not, check voltage at power supply (~24vDC), adjust if needed.
          • Possible Replace – MT-202/Door Station
    • …on multiple/all monitors?
      • Check voltage @ Power Supply & both buses @ MT-202 (~24vDC)
      • Check impedance switch @ MT-2-4 (Should be ON at the last 2-4 in the line)
      • Take one monitor and test it direct to MT-202 monitor bus
        • If good, replace MT-2-4
        • If still not working, replace MT-202/Door Station

  • No Audio…

    • ...to/from the outdoor panel
      • …at one monitor
        • Check volume controls (on the side and on back)
        • If not, replace with a working monitor –
          • If working monitor is good, replace monitor
          • If working monitor is not working, check wiring
        • Perform local test with 18awg/2-conductor, stranded, unshielded wiring –
          • If working, there is a short or misconnection in the wiring
          • If not working, replace door panel
      • …at multiple monitors
        • Check volume controls (on the side and on back)
        • If monitors are on the same 2-4, check one monitor direct to MT-202
          • If working, check wiring to 2-4 from bus, otherwise replace 2-4
          • If not working, is the power separator led lit
            • Yes – Replace 202
            • No – Check power supply connections V+/V-
        • If monitors are out on separate 2-4’s, try working monitors at each malfunctioning location
          • If working monitor is good, replace monitor
          • If working monitor is not working, check wiring.
        • Perform local test with 18awg/2-conductor, stranded, unshielded wiring –
          • If working, there is a short or misconnection in the wiring
          • If not working, replace door panel
      • …at all monitors
        • Check wiring from door station
        • Perform local test with 18awg/2-conductor, stranded, unshielded wiring –
          • If working, there is a short or misconnection in the existing wiring
          • If not working, replace door panel

    • No Ringtone…
      • …at monitor
        • Check a working monitor at that location
          • If working, replace monitor.
          • If not working, check impedance switch (should be ON at last 2-4) & voltage at MT-202 monitor bus (24vDC)
            • If okay, replace monitor

      • …at door panel
        • Check that switch 7 is on at the monitor
          • If on and still not working, check wiring –
          • Perform local test with 18awg/2-conductor, stranded, unshielded wiring -
            • If working, there is a short or misconnection in the existing wiring
            • If not, replace door panel

  • Strike does not…
    • …open
      • Ensure you have a 12vDC lock
      • Check the 6-pin connector wires (for an NO lock, use RED and YELLOW wires, for an NC lock, use BLUE and YELLOW)
      • Apply direct voltage to lock contacts
        • If not working, replace strike
        • If strike is working, check voltage from BLUE and YELLOW wires (should be 12v) and check to make sure jumper “SIP1” is in place at 2+3 or 1+2
          • If voltage is too low, or 0v, replace door station

    • …open for long enough
      • Change dip switches 4 + 5 at the door station (see manual pg. 5)
      • Check voltage at BLUE and YELLOW wires.
      • …buzz
      • DC Strikes do not buzz, AC Strikes do but require an Altronix 6062 relay and their own dedicated power source to use with the BEC video system.
