[WAN][LAN][NT-IP][SIP][VOIP][Phone app][IpCalls][app][Android][IOS][Apple] - Breakdown on the use of the phone app
Last Updated 5 years ago

The phone app works differently based on local use within the building WiFi or LAN vs remotely on the WAN side.

Wifi/LAN:

  • Monitor - select Unit 1, then OK to view the door station camera.
    • Unit is for the Door station with full keypad, the single button station uses Flat option
  • Unlock - select Unit 0 for the door station
  • Security - This puts the monitor the phone app matches too in Home, away, sleeping mode...[just bells and whistles]
  • Video Call - press 1 building 1 unit and the unit you wish to call. This is used for local communication only.

WAN/SIP:

  • Video Call - dial the SIP account you wish to reach.

Now, the door panel will attempt to reach the phone app first through the LAN, and if instructed (as is) will also use the WAN/SIP option.

Now, depending on if you are:

  • at the building connected to the building WiFi/LAN
  • or the phone app is on Data

One of the two options will be possible.

On the SIP/WAN, your options are limited to the video call and unlock feature from the video call only; but when on WiFi mode at the building WiFi, you will have the added Monitor, Unlock, Security,...options available.
