The NT-IP-A9K can only be powered up via a 12vDC plugin/transformer/or adapter. Moreover, from the power adapter, you connect the A9K at the back-end using a three-wire pigtail  connector using the red (+) and the black (-) leaving out the yellow wire for your electric door lock as the  trigger wire.
