(2) Video Intercom systems / [NT-IP-A9K][NT-IP-6S][NT-IP-DRS1][NT-IP-DRG][NT-IP-G9W] - IP INTERCOM SERIES

  • A9K [not PoE powered][requires a 12vDC plugin, power supply, or adapter]
  • 6S [not PoE powered][requires a 12vDC plugin, power supply, or adapter]
  • DRS1 [PoE ready]
  • DRCR [not PoE powered][PoE ready  Under Tech-Support Review 20191201][no longer producing this model]
    • The newer model of DRCR will not have the same camera. The cost of producing this current model has gone up due to its sophisticated camera lens costing more. This model has a better camera view due to its roundness, one sees almost a 360 panoramic view. The latest model of DRCR that we will be producing will have a flat camera just as in the DRG/DRS1 models. I anticipate this will cause some disappointment with our fans because the view will be just a standard camera view - one loses the ability to gain a 360 degree panoramic view. Thus, height adjustment or should we say, proper mounting of the door station will be necessary otherwise, physically challenged or shorter/taller people will not be seen.
  • DRG [PoE ready]

  • NT-IP-Camera[PoE ready] - this section will be added soon
  • Phone App
    • In regards to the Room settings Sync number, this is used to "clone" the phone app after the monitor (if one is used). You will
notice there is a six digit Sync number in the Room Settings of the monitor. Well, this six digit sync number can be used in the Room Settings of the Phone app to allow full synchronization between these devices, So using one is as using the other (monitor vs phone app) when in the same premise. That's why the status of the Synch (short for synchronization) state will be Synchronized when located in the same building but wen away, the SIP state takes effect mainly and you SIP state will show SIP state Registered
They both mean the same thing. The Sync is for the Local Area Network (LAN) when using your WiFi vs. the SIP is for the Wide Area Network (WAN) when using your Data but it also uses any WiFi as a secondary route to communicate with the door station.
  • A special note will be posted for deployment of our system on various networks. For sake of simplicity, we will simply catalogue them according to network class:
  • private networks:
  1. 10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255 (Class A) - [the hardest and most complex installation][more information to come]
  2. 172.16.00 – 172.31.255.255 (Class B) - [mid level complexity][more information to come]
  3. 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255 (Class C) -[the easiest and most simplistic installation][all information provided here pertains to this class]

  • On the Telephony side and for all SIP/VOIP use of the phone app, you can test out before hand if your network can handle the audio/video traffic with the following steps from a PC/laptop on the LAN/WiFi where the door station is located.:
    • Try the following command using the command prompt; or cygwin:
  • netcat -zvu 66.185.27.147 5060
    • or try a variation of the above such as: nc -z -v -u 66.185.27.147 5060 (the result expected is the following):
      1. Connection to 66.185.27.147 5060 port [udp/*] succeeded!
      2. the above result confirms there is no networking blocks preventing end to end communication.  Otherwise, if result is different, then the issue is on the network side starting at the router, leading to the SIP at worst. The challenge in such case is to track the root cause if it's at the LAN or the WAN side.

Note from the Tech-Support Department:
The NT-IP series is the Cadillac/Mercedes of the intercom systems. This is your high end product. It is not a plug-n-play system. This means that it will require some advanced networking understanding and skills because one deals with both (NT) networking systems using cat5/, cat6 cables, but also they are (IP) Internet Protocol based systems; meaning that they will work connected to your routing devices such as switches, PoE switches, routers, WIFI networking and Internet routers ... etc...
