[2022][MT-700][MT-800][MT-D5S]default installation] - General Installation Programming

Your series door station and monitors as an intercom system is based on three principle:

  1. the system runs on 24vDC. This means that from end to end, this circuit should always be at the very least getting 24vDC~ to operate. Almost always, any issues arising from this system (if any) will be related to a voltage drop, therefore, the necessity to read the voltage at the MT-PS (the power supply) and at the effected device (the monitor) before adjusting the voltage output at the MT-PS consequently.
  2. The system is based on the correct wiring gauge used. We recommend 18/2 wires. Some installations will differ for various reasons but an 18 gauge wire will prevent voltage drop if you have long runs...
  3. Last but not least, this system is based on the correct DIP code assigned to each device for proper communications to take place. For each additional monitor connected to a single unit, use the same DIP code to that monitor if connected from the MT-2-4, otherwise, if the monitor is daisy-chained, use the same DIP code but add 6 as well at the last connected monitor in the daisy-chain connection. See diagram for example.
    1. Special notes for 2022 monitor models no longer come with 7 DIP code where the 7 is now removed and not necessary to intonate the ringtone.

I provided a wiring diagram for your convenience so you know what to expect in how the system was installed. Always refer to this diagram if you ever need to troubleshoot your system.
